OREANDA-NEWS. March 28, 2007 during a meeting on Mar 27 the Public Council of Rosatom discussed the nuclear part of the general scheme of power facilities deployment in Russia till 2020 and the draft federal target program of nuclear and radiation safety till 2015, reported the press-centre of  Rosenergoatom. The vice chairman of the board Sergey Baranovsky has told journalists that the council has supported Rosatom’s proposals concerning the scheme. The Government is expected to discuss the scheme in mid April.
The federal target program has been coordinated with all departments and submitted to the Government. The Cabinet of Ministers will consider it in April. The program consists of over 350 measures and will receive 131,8bln RUR in 2008-2015.

 
The secretary of the Council Igor Konyshev says that the council has also discussed the resettlement of the residents of Muslumovo, a village in Chelyabinsk region that was partly contaminated in the Soviet times because of the activities of Mayak plant. 340 residents have already applied for resettlement: 84 households want to resettle to the neighboring Muslumovo railway station, 256 - to other areas. 57 households have already made contracts and received 1mln RUR compensation, the rest are preparing documents and considering options. The council is concerned that over half of the 741 households have made no decision yet. The council is chaired by the head of Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko and comprises representatives of public and ecological organizations.
