OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2007 turnover job of equipment on some transformer substations and overhead electric lines 6-0.4 kW has been started in Degtjarsk. And in April experts of Western power networks are going to install a new heat transfer station on a crossroad Chapaeva – Turistov. All these actions taken by power engineers give an opportunity to improve electric power supply system in short terms and redistribute increased electric energy demand, reported the press-centre of  Sverdlovenergo Public Company.


It should be mentioned that Degtjarsk power plant of Western power networks of Sverdlovenergo Public Company which was set up after transfer of electrical grid complex of Degtjarsk mine group to the power networks in 1998, functions for 9 years fulfilling its constant task - power supply without any failures. The equipment of power networks accepted on transfer of ownership had been practically 100% deteriorated. And power engineers of electrical enterprise had to do not only with shabby and lop-sided wooden poles and worn-out cables. For the time of equipment handling, power engineers of Western power networks of Sverdlovenergo Public Company changed about 2500 wooden poles and set 5 new transformer substations on the territory of 490 km of air and cable lines. The power engineers of Western power networks changed about 200 km of cable on overground line 6-0,4 kW. Unfortunately notwithstanding all made works, there is still a number of problems. For example one problem is low voltage on Dzerzhinskogo, Chapaeva, Turistov and Garazhnoi st. Power consumers having many complains refer to power engineers more and more often.


Experts of Western power networks of Sverdlovenergo Public Company together with representatives from Sverdlovenergosbyt and Energobalans companies responded to all complaints and organized a check-up during which they found out a number of curious things. In addition to high level of deterioration of equipment, the quality of power supply in Degtjarsk is also influenced by “unwanted” consumers. That is to say, line tap of garage complex is registered on Garazhnoi st. and this is the first place citizens of which started complaining. However strange it sounds but legal power consumers also contribute to deterioration of power supply quality because they exceed normal level of power consumption. They don’t consider that power equipment is hardly able to cope with increased power consumption here. Taking into consideration all these factors, power engineers of Sverdlovenergo Public Company appropriated money and worked out a set of actions to better the quality of power supply in Degtjarsk.
