The Trade Mark "Aeroflot" was 75 years
OREANDA-NEWS. On March 26, 2007 the trade mark “Aeroflot” was 75 years. On this day in 1932 the Civil Air Fleet was renamed Aeroflot. Along with the Bolshoy Theatre and Moscow Kremlin - the trade mark “Aeroflot’ became one of the traditional Russian symbols and the most renowned commercial brand of the country, reported the press-centre of OJSC “Aeroflot - Russian Airlines”.
Right for use of the name “Aeroflot” is registered by our company according to Russian and international laws. Being a symbol of Russian civil aviation development Aeroflot changes along with the world and is nowadays a modern, dynamic and competitive company. In 2001 the company started a large-scale rebrandering campaign. The objective is modernization of Aeroflot image with respect to modern realities. A mission and values of the Aeroflot brand, that became locomotive of dramatic changes in corporate product and service, were developed in detail within the frameworks of the project.
New corporate colors appeared to be vital components of Aeroflot's rebranding as well as the new logo, new coloring of airplanes, new uniform of the company's personnel, new design of the sales offices, tickets and advertising materials. All new things would not have been full without serious changes in organization and style of passengers’ service. A new slogan and logo became reflections of these changes. The slogan “Sincerely yours, Aeroflot!” expresses the brand concept in full, the essence of which is care of passengers.
In 2005 and 2006 "Aeroflot - Russian airlines" JSC became a proud winner of the golden reward at the eighth Competition "Brand of the year/EFFIE - 2005" in the category "Facilities/Service". This reward shows the highest degree of consumer's confidence in "Aeroflot" brand, their highest assessment of the company's efforts to rebrand and to introduce fundamental improvements to the quality of their product.
Together with the services provided to the passengers on board, the company has been continuously optimizing its routes net increasing flight frequency on passenger-intensive routes and making its flights attractive from the point of view of flight joining. Nowadays Aeroflot is the largest airline company in Russia and one of the most famous trade marks in the world market of air carriages. The company has flights to 93 destinations in 47 countries including 26 Russian cities. OJSC “Aeroflot” is a member of the global alliance Sky Team and is constructing its own terminal Sheremetyevo-3.
