OREANDA-NEWS. On March 23, 2007 at the Gazprom Headquarters, Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee has chaired a joint meeting of the Gazprom Emergencies Commission and Civil Defense Board, reported the press-centre of  Gazprom.

Particularly, the meeting examined issues relevant to enhancing the corporate civil defense system at the subsidiary level as well as the efficiency of increasing the emergency monitoring and forecasting system at the Unified Gas Supply System facilities. The participants heard a report on the Gazprom’s collective protection facilities and measures of build-up those. The meeting also envisaged issue of blowout and fire protection for the Yamal Peninsula facilities and gas transmission system. At the end of the meeting Gazprom’s core business units, subsidiaries and organizations were engaged with the appropriate tasks.
