OREANDA-NEWS. OJSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” has signed a protocol of intentions to purchase 22 aircrafts A350-xxx XWB from Airbus.
According to the specified agreement the aircrafts will be supplied within 2014 – 2017.
Aeroflot was the first in Russia and CIS to exploit airbuses in 1992. First these were liners of А310 family, then А319, А320 and А321. Nowadays the fleet includes 27 aircrafts of A320 family. Aeroflot is one of the world leaders in terms of exploitation reliability and actual airborne hours per one aircraft.
Liners A350 hold from 270 to 350 passengers and have a flying range of over 15000 km. The aircrafts have similar piloting and cabin fitting properties that makes training of pilots easier and allows using “universal” crews.
