OREANDA-NEWS. Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee conducted at the Gazprom Headquarters a meeting on the construction of turboexpander power plants (TEPPs) at Gazprom’s facilities in the Volgograd Oblast (Volgogradtransgaz).

The participants discussed issues surrounding the construction of three 10,5 MW TEPPs at gas distribution stations in the Volgograd Oblast. It was mentioned that not only would the application of TEPPs provide for the increase of power generation in the region but it would also contribute to the reduction of Gazprom’s energy supply costs.

The meeting also addressed the organizational and legal aspects of establishing a special purpose company with a view to implementing the project under project financing terms.
