Tyumenneftegaz Received International Certificates
OREANDA-NEWS. On March 14, 2007 the certificates of compliance were handled to the management of Tyumenneftegaz in Tyumen. The decision of experts of SAI Global and the Russian Register Association on the compliance of the quality management system of Tyumenneftegaz with the international standard ISO 9001:2000 was announced in December 2006, reported the press-centre of Tyumenneftegaz. For Tyumenneftegaz, a subsidiary of TNK-BP incorporated into the Tyumen Business Unit, this event is the first step towards increasing the efficiency of quality management, which was preceded by implementing comprehensive measures for identification and optimization of business processes, bringing the regulatory documents in proper order, training the personnel, and conducting internal audits.

n his speech at the ceremony of handling the certificates of compliance, Andrei Provatorov, General Director of the representative certification agency of SAI Global in Russia, Baltic countries and the Commonwealth of Independent States, emphasized that Tyumenneftegaz is among the small number of companies aimed at better and more efficient activities and working for them in actual deed. “This approach will help the company cope with this one of the most important requirements and improve the existing system of management,” said Mr. Provatorov. Receiving the certificate of compliance with the international standard, Andrei Rublev, General Director of Tyumenneftegaz, thanked his colleague and experts for the accomplished work and underlined the enthusiasm of the specially established quality management group headed since its inception by Evgent Zadorozhny, Chief Engineer and Infrastructure and Operational Support Director of Tyumenneftegas. Mr. Rublev expressed his hope that the management system model underlying the international standard ISO 9901:2000 will help Tyumenneftegaz raise the enterprise management efficiency, increase its competitive edge, and build reliable and mutually beneficial relations with partners.
According to Yuri Yaschenko, Deputy Head and Financial Controller of the Tyumen Business Unit, the certification experience of TNK-Nyagan, another subsidiary of TNK-BP, served as an incentive for the enterprises and performance units of the Company in Novosibirsk and Tyumen. Now, in its turn, the experience of Tyumenneftegaz will serve as an impetus for other business units and groups of TNK-BP working in this region. In the nearest future, Tyumenneftegaz is going to develop and integrate environmental management and health and safety management systems compliant with the international standards ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
