OREANDA-NEWS. In 2006 the volume of investments allocated by OJSC “VolgaTelecom” to the development of communication facilities grew by 12% and amounted to 5 882,4 million rubles.

The volume of investments to the development of communication services by using high technologies amounted to 2 218,6 million rubles or 37,7% of the total amount of capital investments.
 
In 2006 OJSC “VolgaTelecom” commissioned 429,5 thousand numbers. 34% of the commissioned capacity was allocated for the development, and 66% – for the network modernization. Thus, the installed capacity made up 5 123,7 thousand lines.
