OREANDA-NEWS. OJSC “VolgaTelecom” (RTS: NNSI / NNSIP, MICEX: VTEL / VTELP, ADR VLGAY / NZH) reports on preliminary results of its activity for year 2006 as per Russian Accounting Standards.

According to preliminary data VolgaTelecom’s proceeds amounted to 21 691,2 million rubles (growth rate – 101,6%)*.  Communication services income makes 20 367 million rubles (98%). The percentage of communication services income in the proceeds is 93,9%.

Basic financial and economic performances of year 2006: Sales profit – 4 741,5 million rubles, (growth rate – 89,4%); Income before tax – 3479,96 million rubles, (growth rate – 101,6%); OIBDA – 7 603,5 million rubles, (growth rate – 97%); OIBDA margin (OIBDA in proceeds) – 35,1; EBITDA  – 7 082,4 million rubles, (growth rate – 104,7%); EBITDA margin – 32,7%; Net profit – 2 412,4 million rubles, (growth rate – 106,9%); Net profit cost-efficiency – 14,2%.
