OREANDA-NEWS. The UMMC is going to invest 25 million roubles into reconstruction of the KZ OTsM (an affiliate of the UMMC) continuous three-stand mill “Tandem-1000”.

The project is being implemented within the frame of the new rolling and casting complex construction investment program. The Tandem-1000 mill will be used in an intermediate stage of the copper bands production technological chain, the mill’s reconstruction will contribute to its technological potential allowing to produce band coils 15 mm thick.

The reconstruction project includes the replacement of the old equipment, namely the feeding part and outlet part of the“Tandem-1000”. It is planned to put the upgraded mill in operation by the end of February 2007 as kindly reported by the KZ OTsM chief engineer Alexandr Ryaposov.
