OREANDA-NEWS. The JSC “Gazprom’s” committee of directors has approved the transaction accomplishment, connected with “Gazprom’s” joining the Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd. (Sakhalin Energy) as the leading shareholder.

On the twenty-first of December 2006 the JSC ”Gazprom”, Royal Dutch Shell plc, Mitsui & Co., Ltd and Mitsubishi Corporation have signed the proceedings about “Gazprom’s” joining the Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd., which is the operator  of “Sakhalin-1” project, as the leading shareholder.
According to the terms of the proceedings, “Gazprom” will buy 50% of the shares plus 1 share of Sakhalin Energy and paid 7.45 billion USD.
