Project “Sakhalin-1” Reached Planned Level of Production
OREANDA-NEWS. The first stage of the project “Sakhalin-1”' has reached the planned peak level of extraction at the rate of 34 thousand tons (250 thousand barrels) of oil a day.
The first stage of the project includes coastal complex of preparation of production at the Chivo field, and also the 225km-export pipeline to the terminal in De-Castries.
The volume of extraction of natural gas during the peak winter season 2007 has reached 3,92 million cubic metre a day. The extracted gas is delivered to the Russian consumers in Khabarovsk territory – “Khabarovskenergo”' and “Khabarovskkraigaz”.
The operator of the project “Sakhalin-1” is company ExxonNeftegaz Ltd. (30 %). Other participants of the project are: JSC “RN-Astra”' (8,5 %), JSC “Sakhalinmorneftegaz-Shelf” (11,5 %); Sakhalin Oil and Gas Development Co., Ltd. (30 % SODECO, Japan); and Indian national oil company ONGC Videsh Ltd (20 %).
