OREANDA-NEWS. Russia and Turkmenistan confirmed fulfilment of all earlier taken obligations in the gas sphere, Mikhail Fradkov, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation informed.

According to him, the parties also agreed to discuss future prospects of cooperation in the gas sphere, Interfax reported.

Fradkov also said that the sides agreed to reanimate the mechanism of bilateral intergovernmental commission. He considers they will succeed and will resume the work of the commission suspended since 2002.

During the negotiations, the decision to start work of the trade representation of Russia in Turkmenistan was adopted.
