OREANDA-NEWS. The first meeting of OJSC “VolgaTelecom” Coordinating Council took place in February 2007; the Council was designed to improve corporate governance quality. The Council comprises the General Director, his deputies as per lines of activity, and General Director’s deputies – directors of 11 branches of OJSC “VolgaTelecom”.

The Council offers a ground for discussion of strategic and operational issues, and also for exchange of views between headquarters and regional branches in order to improve the quality and to optimize the business processes.

The Coordinating Council’s meetings will be held every quarter. The plans of immediate meetings of the Coordinating Council include the discussion of issues of improving the Company’s operating activity efficiency and optimizing the costs, development of services promotion system, sales system and customer servicing, and the progress of implementation of the Company’s target programs.
