OREANDA-NEWS. “Kovdorsky GOK” (Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise) an affiliate to EuroChem Mineral and Chemical Company manufactured merchant grade products in the amount of 7.95 billion Rubles in 2006 that complies with the level of 2005.

The apatite concentrate output grew by 2.65 %, i.e. up to 2.01 billion tons, which allowed increasing the provision of the holding enterprises demands for phosphorous containing raw materials.

The iron-ore concentrate production volumes decreased by 3 % in the first half of 2006 as against 2005 and amounted to 5.61 million tons owing to the market condition deterioration.

The production of baddeleyite concentrate that is unique zirconium containing raw material used in the manufacture of abrasives, fluxes, ceramic pigments, increased by 11.54 % (up to 7.51 thousand tons) in 2006.
