The number of subscribers of the network "Megafon-Moscow" (Joint-Stock Company "Sonic Duo") against the beginning of January 2007 has increased in 1,5 times - up to 5 million from 3,2 million on the beginning of 2006, Newspaper.ru informed.

The share of the market of "Megafon" on number of subscribers in Moscow region on results of the year increased up to 18,8%. OJSC "Megafon" is the third cellular operator of Russia. The net profit of OJSC "Megafon" on US GAAP has made $570,3 million in January-September 2006, the proceeds - $2,616 billion, EBITDA - $1,32 billion.
