OREANDA-NEWS. The fourth vessel of the Chinese series FESCO ALTAY built on Jingling shipyard for FESCO Transport Group, the christening ceremony took place in port of Ijing (China).

Container capacity of the vessel is 1080 TEU. 220 reefer containers can be loaded in order to carry refrigerated cargo. The high-class automated control system allows carrying out unattending machinery maintenance.

The ship has two electro-hydraulic cranes, carrying 40 tons each. Powerful main and pilot engines are fueled with heavy oil.

The newbuilt vessel replenished FESCO container fleet up to 28 vessels of total capacity over 30,000 TEU. For the year to date, FESCO container fleet capacity increased by 61 %. The total deadweight of FESCO fleet is up to 1.1 million tons. Container ships account for 40% of the total fleet and 60% are vessels of other types.
