OREANDA-NEWS. The first set of the up-to-date equipment manufactured by the German firm LAEMPE was delivered to Bezhitsk Steel Foundry (BSF).

The BSF received the equipment under the Transmashholding-integrated enterprises technical retooling campaign aimed at better productivity and produce quality.

The overall volume of investments in the BSF technical retooling will reach 30 million US dollars within the year of 2007.

The BSF will be also receiving a new line of production for high-quality cast steel used for the railway transport in 2007.

Upon reaching the design capacity the new equipment will be providing 1.5-2 times increase in cast steel production as compared to 58,000 metric tons in 2006 (provisional data).
