OREANDA-NEWS. Sales of UMC, the second-largest contract manufacturer of microcircuits in the world, have decreased by 7,2 % in December 2006 in annual calculation because of high stock rate at its clients, the company informed on Monday.

Sales of United Microelectronics Corp. (UMC) have made 8,372 billion Taiwan dollars ($280 million) for the period under review against 9,018 billion Taiwan dollars the last year, Reuter reported.

In November, the volume of proceeds has made 8,69 billion Taiwan dollars.
