Gazprom and Prometheus Gas discuss prospects for future cooperation
OREANDA-NEWS. A work meeting between Gazprom’s Board Chairman Aleksey Miller and President of a joint Russian-Greek company Prometheus Gas Dimitris Kopelusos was held in Gazprom’s central office.
The officials discussed plans and prospects for the future cooperation to supply natural gas to Greek markets via the Prometheus Gas company.
In 2005, Gazprom Export company supplied about 2.4 billion cubic meters of gas to Greece.
Prometheus Gas is a joint venture company with a 50-50 percent ownership of Gazprom Export Co. and Kopelusos Broths Group Ltd. The JV was set up in 1991 to promote Russian-Greek cooperation in the gas sector. Prometheus Gas is also involved in the construction of a number of energy projects in Greece.
