OREANDA-NEWS. “COMSTAR – United TeleSystems” (“Comstar UTS”) (LSE: CMST), the leading provider of integrated telecommunication services in Russia and the CIS, today announced that ZAO MTU-Intel was renamed ZAO Comstar-Direct.

The rename and approval of corresponding changes to the charter followed the decision of the Extraordinary General Meeting of MTU-Intel shareholders, which was held on November, 30 2006.

This change will not impact the business activities of the Company and is in line with the new organizational structure of Comstar UTS announced in November of 2006.
