OREANDA-NEWS. During January – September 2006 the enterprises of EuroChem Mineral and Chemical Company produced 4.5 million tonnes of mineral fertilizers, up 0.8% from the same period last year.

The consolidated output of nitrogen fertilizers (merchant-grade products, in physical terms) was 2.9 m tonnes, or 100.2% year-on-year.

The output of phosphate fertilizers was 1,258,000 tonnes, or 102.5% of the level of January-September 2005.

The output of apatite concentrate, a raw material for phosphate fertilizer production, was 1,488,000 tonnes (101.7%).

The output of iron-ore concentrate was 4,261,000 tonnes (98% of the level of 2005), and baddeleyite concentrate – a unique zirconium-containing material – 5,500 tonnes (115% year-on-year).
