OREANDA-NEWS. In November 2006 "UTK" PJSC increased the number of dial-up ports in the Krasnodar kray by 2,880 ports due to growing number of dial-up Internet - users and heavy modem pools traffic.

About 10 million roubles were invested in new equipment.

The company Cisco Systems was chosen as a vendor. The pay-back period of this project is expected to be one year.

As at 1 October 2006 total number of dial-up users connecting to the Internet from home, business or any other computer exceeded 2 million; number of subscribers using basic telephone sets made 354,282.

9 months 2006 revenues of "UTK" PJSC from Internet services grew by 58.55 % to 1,044.7 thousand roubles. Volume of Internet traffic increased by 80.3 % to 747 Tbyte, time of dial-up Internet rose 47.72 % to 2,302 million minutes.
