OREANDA-NEWS. The goal of reforming of the power sphere that the president of the Russian Federation has set before the government in October is executed badly, Putin considers. He also said that the old mechanism of functioning in this area brakes development of all Russian economy.

He reminded that he has charged the government to specify the forecast of current consumption, dynamics of change of tariffs, to offer exact forecast of change of fuel balance, and also to develop a number of normative decisions stimulating for development of electric power industry.

By this time the governmental departments could not agree about the position concerning the price of gas in the home market which is almost in 5 times below the world one, Reuters reported.

Rise in prices is favourable to monopolists: RAO “UES of Russia” - it is unprofitable to generate electric power from expensive black oil, and to Gazprom which incurs multi-billion losses from work in the home market.
