OREANDA-NEWS. At Gazprom Headquarters Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Valery Potapenko, Head of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (NAO) Administration signed the Agreement on cooperation.

In accordance with the document signed Gazprom and NAO expressed mutual interest in implementation of the following business directions in the region:
- Hydrocarbon preparation and exploration program development and implementation;
- The NAO industrial companies utilization potential;
- Capacity development to utilize gas motor fuel;
- Gasification of the Nenets population areas, stable gas supply system development and upgrading;
- Gas saving technologies development and implementation;
- Ecological security and rational environmental management;
- Creation of complex automatic system for expense measurement and natural gas quality parameters.

The parties jointly develop measures of the NAO energy resources balance improvement directed to rationalization and utilization of alternative energy sources.

Additionally, the parties will develop energy saving program stipulating utilization of new energy saving technologies and modern gas equipment within gasification draft program implementation in the region.

The NAO Administration helps Gazprom at geological exploration works, field exploration and exploitation, engineering and construction works as well as land use planning issues.
