OREANDA-NEWS. Bezhitsk Steel Foundry has produced the pilot batch of 3,000 new PMKP-110 shock-absorbing devices having no analogues in the world. The PMKP-110 is designed for freight cars and has been manufactured on the JSC Russian Railways order.
The PMKP-110 is designed to absorb the compression pressure affecting the picking up of cars while the rolling stock is on move. The device reduces the coupling gear wear and tear to make the railway equipment more reliable, efficient, and safe.
The new shock-absorbing device does not require maintenance and has 16 years of service life. The plant has received a certificate for the device production. The PMKP-110 satisfies the requirements for the devices of Т1 class.
