OREANDA-NEWS. Uralsvyazinform (RTS: URSI/URSIP, ADR: UVYZY/ UVYZYP), the leading carrier of fixed-line and mobile services in the Urals region, Russia reports the unconsolidated financial and operational results for the 9M 2006 prepared under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS).

The proceeds of the company for the period under review made 24 479.3 million roubles, or 14.6% more than for the same period of 2005.

OIBDA increased by 21% compared to 9M 2005 up to 24 479.3 million roubles. OIBDA margin amounted to 37.4%.

The operational profit of the company made 6 352.1 million roubles having increased by 16.7% and profit before taxation made 3 568.2 million roubles.

The net profit of OJSC “Uralsvyazinform” for nine months made 2 468.8 million roubles, or 74.3% more than for first three quarters of 2005.

As of September 30, overall subscriber base totaled 3.7 million, including 4.2 million in GSM.
