OREANDA-NEWS. OAO TATNEFT Board of Directors has discussed the efficiency of new technologies of development and production of OAO TATNEFT crude oil fields.

The Company is nowadays producing over 60% of the crude oil from the oil fields with intensely depleted formations however through application of up-to-date technologies the Company managed to stabilize the water-cut index of the fluid produced and provide for the crude oil production increase during the period of the last 13 years.

Basing on high efficiency of the new technologies application in the Company the Executive Management Board has been recommended to review possibility of their application in the other fields of the Company through arrangement of a service rendering system.

On the threshold of enacting the differentiating Tax on Natural Resources Production starting January 1 of the next year the Board of Directors has reviewed the efficiency of the intensely depleted (over 80%) development of the OAO TATNEFT crude oil fields with regard to preferential taxation.

The funds planned to be secured as a result of the differentiating Tax on Natural Resources Production introduction shall be spent on further production stabilization.
