OREANDA-NEWS. New construction of high-efficiency gas-vapor capacities, with the first ones to be commissioned as early as at the end of 2007 and the beginning of 2008, will make it possible to eliminate the electric power shortfall in the metropolitan region by 2015 and to increase OAO Mosenergo’s share of the electric power production market on a countrywide scale. A.Ya. Kopsov, General Director of OAO Mosenergo, declared about this at the press conference on October 19.

According to him, the second line of the company’s technical development is technical re-equipment – modernizing existing capacities to improve the efficiency and ecological properties of power generation – which is being carried out by introducing the newest and most efficient technologies.

In partnership with a strategic investor, OAO Mosenergo, as a backbone generating company in central Russia with construction and design subsidiaries and highly skilled engineering personnel, is ready to develop and coordinate the operation of the energy system in the centre of the country.

 The geographic scope of the company’s activities may be expanded by constructing new heat-generating capacities operating on various types of fuel.
