OREANDA-NEWS. One of priorities of VTB Group for the next two years is the further expansion of a network of foreign offices in the CIS countries by purchase of banks in Kazakhstan, Belarus and Azerbaijan.

Also, the strategic plans of VTB Group include creation of new structures and significant expansion of activity in the countries of Asian-Pacific region. In particular, in the near future opening of divisions of the Group in China, India and Vietnam is planned. By 2010, more than 20 % of business of the bank will be concentrated outside Russia.

The paramount attention will be given to expansion of activity of VTB Group in the Russian regions. Today, the Group has more than 500 points of sales in all federal districts and large cities of the country. The share of regions in business of VTB Group exceeds 50 % and continues steadily growing.

In the next two years VTB group will continue to actively develop a regional network which will capture 65 regions of Russia by 2008, where 99 % of industrial output is made and over 94% of population of the country is living.
