OREANDA-NEWS. “First Quantum” Group and Far Eastern Shipping Company established a strategic alliance for joint management and development of First Container Terminal (port of Saint-Petersburg) and Baltic Container Terminal (port of Ust’-Luga). Each alliance participant will own 50% of these terminals stock.

The integration of two largest Russian companies efforts, working in the field of container transportation, will allow them to provide Russian and foreign freight owners with a full complex of “door-to-door” container transportation services on the highest level in accordance with the best international quality standards.

The alliance participants strategies have a lot in common and are base on long-term investments, active participation in assets management, openness and willingness to collaboration in order to achieve the maximum possible synergetic effect.
