OREANDA-NEWS. At the present time, one forth of the overall electric power demands of OJSC “Surgutneftegas” is covered by in-house power generation.

Today, there are eleven gas-turbine power stations operating at the Company’s oil fields including four stations that have been put into operation this year. The total capacity of all gas-turbine power stations of OJSC “Surgutneftegas” comes to 307.5 mW. The stations allow the Company to generate more than 6.5 mn kWh per day.

According to the Company’s date schedule, three gas-turbine power stations are to be launched in 2007 and three – in 2008.
