OREANDA-NEWS. Vnesheconombank and Dresdner Bank AG signed a bilateral Agreement on Cooperation to support joint projects within public private partnership (PPP).

Under the Agreement financial institutions are determined to assist PPP participants in selecting financing schemes to bankroll major investment projects including project financing, with insurance coverage being provided by Western European export-credit agencies.

The two sides have plans to offer consulting services to form the basis for supporting PPP projects and to explore ways of financing economically justified projects jointly.

The Agreement provides for the two sides to participate in selecting and conducting expert's examination of government-backed projects. The Agreement would be instrumental in implementing PPP principles as an effective method of investing capital in Russian socially meaningful projects.
