OREANDA-NEWS. Kaliningrad plant "Autotor" started the production of Hyundai Grand Santa Fe crossover. From the beginning of year, this is the fifth new car of brand Hyundai, the production of which began in the enterprise.

Recall from May of this year at "Avtotor" it is held the production of crossover Hyundai Santa Fe Premium, which was launched simultaneously with the launch of two additional models of the Korean group - Genesis premium sedan and an updated compact sedan Elantra. For the car Grand Santa Fe production the plant started preparation in June.

The main difference between Hyundai Grand Santa Fe from the already produced Hyundai Santa Fe Premium is in the increased capacity of the new model. Crossover has a third row of seats (7 seats instead of five). Vehicle length is 4915 mm (225 mm + versus Santa Fe Premium), the width is 1885 mm (5 mm), and the height is 1685 mm (10 mm). IT has a different radiator closure, modified front bumper, fog lights, side mirrors and tail lights. All cars of this model, produced at "Avtotor", have all-wheel drive and 6-speed gearbox. There are two engines: 6-cylinder petrol - volume 3,3l, power 249 hp and diesel - capacity 2,2l, power 197 hp.

As previously reported "AUTOSTAT", the joint project of "Autotor" Company and Hyundai Motor Company for the production of passenger cars was launched in 2013.
