Torotrak will be demonstrating a Ford Focus powered by a 1.0L EcoBoost engine fitted with the V-Charge supercharger
The Aachen Colloquium Automobile and Engine Technology is the largest automotive and engine technology congress in Europe with more than 65 companies exhibiting. The ~2,000 participants will be able to drive a range of demonstrator vehicles on the test track.Torotrak will offer participants from across the automotive sector the opportunity to drive the V-Charge-enabled 1.0L Ford Focus, demonstrating the increased torque output and improved transient performance.
Following the Aachen Colloquium, the V-Charge-enabled demonstrator vehicle will commence a series of test drives with a wide range of global vehicle OEMs and Tier 1 automotive suppliers across Europe, including the European engineering centres of Asian and North American OEMs. Recent test drives conducted with several global automotive companies confirms the superior performance of V-Charge compared to electric and other advanced boosting solutions, demonstrating the benefits of V-Charge for transient response, maximum torque, continuous boosting and noise.
