OREANDA-NEWS. St. Petersburg plant Hyundai Motor for the first nine months of 2016 produced 151 100 cars, which is less by 8.3% than a year ago. As it was noted in the company, despite the difficult situation in the Russian car market, the plant works 5 days a week in 3 shifts. The company employs 2,200 employees. Every day, the assembly line of "Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus" plant produces about 900 cars.

Totally, in 2016 the Russian plant of company Hyundai Motor plans to produce 200 thousand vehicles, informed the press service of "Hyundai Motor CIS". In August the plant launched the production of a completely new model Hyundai Creta, and to date it has produced more than 9 thousand crossovers.

At the beginning of 2017 at the St. Petersburg Hyundai plant will start the production of Hyundai Solaris sedan of new generation and there will appear the new generation of KIA Rio in the second half of year.
