OREANDA-NEWS. At the end of August of 2016 it was produced 1954 passenger cars in Kazakhstan, which is 4 times exceeded the similar value of last year (488 units). Thus, the production volume of passenger cars in the country has shown continuous growth during three months (from June). In addition, if we compare the August level since July, it is higher by 57.8%, informed the press service of the Union of enterprises of the automotive industry of Kazakhstan "KazAvtoProm". In total for the first eight months it was produced in Kazakhstan 6175 passenger cars.

The chairman of the Union "KazAvtoProm", Oleg Alferov, informed, the industry recovery comes is against the background of the continuing market downturn. "At the end of August the rate of decline of the automotive market has slowed to 45%, but attractive price offers and unique credit terms allowed Kazakhstan plants to strengthen significantly the positions. Since the beginning of the year more than a quarter of buyers of new car preferred the models of local assembly, and in August, the share reached a record 35%", - said Mr. Alferov.
