OREANDA-NEWS. According to the agency “Auto-Dealer-SPb", in January-August of 2016 St. Petersburg plant Hyundai, Nissan and Toyota have produced 174 400 passenger cars, which is less by 10% than in the same period of the last year. In August, automobile enterprises of the city produced 28,400 cars, which is more by 14% than in August of 2015. Thus, for the first time since April of 2015 in St. Petersburg it was recorded the growth of car production at the end of one month.

This success was achieved when not all the plants worked the full month. So, summer vacation of Nissan ended on August 7th, and the workers of Toyota rested the first two weeks of last month.

Share of St. Petersburg automobile industry with respect to the all-Russian car production volume grew significantly. In January-August it was 24.8% (in January-July - 23.9%). And in August it altogether reached 31.2% (the maximum in this year on the basis of one month – was 26%).
