OREANDA-NEWS. According to AUTOSTAT, for the first eight months of 2016, it was produced 702,000 passenger cars in Russia, that is by 13.1% less than a year ago. Meanwhile, in August it was produced 91,000 vehicles, that is by 41.6% more than a year ago.

As AUTOSTAT previously reported, last month Hyundai plant in Russia started to produce the new Hyundai Creta, Toyota plant started to assembly R4V4 crossover. Moreover, FordSollers plant in Naberezhnye Chelny has produced the 10th thousand crossover since the start of production in December 2014. Meanwhile, in August Renault and Toyota plants in Russia stopped production during summer holidays, AVTOVAZ after the company holidays resumed operation in 5-day working week instead of 4-day working week, which had been operating since February.

From January to August truck production was 80,000 vehicles, that is by 6.3% more than a year ago. Last month plants in Russia produced 9,600 auto trucks, that is by 7.2% more than a year ago.
