OREANDA-NEWS. Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH) will increase global prices by 5 percent for its Aquaflow™ nonionic synthetic associative thickeners; Strodex™, Dextrol™ and Zenix™ phosphate ester surfactants; Advantage™ and Drewplus™ foam control agents; and pHLEX™ pH neutralizers. The increases are effective October 1 or as contracts allow.

This action is driven by manufacturing infrastructure needs, as well as escalating raw materials regulatory compliance costs. Recovering these costs allows Ashland to ensure continuity of supply supporting customers’ growth and to continue to provide customers with the premium level services they currently receive. Ashland’s additives are used in waterborne paints and coatings, as well as in numerous specialty coatings and industrial products.
