OREANDA-NEWS. In August AVTOVAZ sold 20,908 vehicles in the Russian market, that is by 3.6% more than a year ago. Thus, sales of LADA vehicles increased for two months, as analytics of AUTOSTAT report. Market share of LADA increased, while Russian automotive market continues to decrease, as press service AVTOVAZ reports. If in August 2015 LADA had 15.4% market share, today according to preliminary estimate of the Company, market share of LADA is 19.6% from total market of passenger cars in Russia. For the first eight months of 2016 Russian dealers of LADA sold 167,015 vehicles (-8.1%).

New LADA cars have stable sales. LADA Vesta is in the TOP-5 of the Russian rating, LADA XRAY is in the TOP-20. New equipment, which were announced at Moscow International Automobile Salon, are preparing for both models. LADA XRAY will have tripping function of ESC and new power unit –1.8-litre engine and a manual transmission (before it was 1.8-litre engine equipped with the automated manual transmission only).
