Zimmer Biomet announced that its Warsaw, Indiana-based headquarters will be wholly powered by renewable, green energy
OREANDA-NEWS. Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc. (NYSE and SIX: ZBH), a global leader in musculoskeletal healthcare, today announced that its Warsaw, Indiana-based headquarters will be wholly powered by renewable, green energy, in compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Green Power Partnership program. Green power is zero-emissions electricity that is generated from environmentally preferable renewable resources, such as wind, solar, geothermal, biogas, eligible biomass, and low-impact hydro. Zimmer Biomet's headquarters building will receive green power from Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO), an approved provider of green power for the EPA's Green Power Program, which allows homes and businesses to designate a portion, or all, of their monthly electric usage to be attributable to electricity generated by renewable energy sources.
