OREANDA-NEWS. In Russia it was resumed the assembly of SsangYong cars and Sollers company expects to start sales of them before the end of this year, reports TASS with reference to the General Director of Sollers, Vadim Shvetsov.

"The talks were held, the dealer requests are collected, the order is formed”, - he said. According to him, the first model that will go to the conveyor will be Tivoli - the car, which SsangYong launched in the last year. Then, perhaps, it will be resumed the assembly of Action.

"We start very modestly, as a break in the market has been for several months, and the situation here is quite heavy, so we will start to sell from small amounts – at first no more than 200 - 250 vehicles per month," - said the head of Sollers.

Recall that the project for the assembly of cars SsangYong was suspended at the end of 2014 - "due to the economic situation and the decline in demand for products". Until now, dealers have sold inventories. As previously reported analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", for 7 months of 2016 in the Russian market it was sold 1039 cars of the brand SsangYong (-72% compared to the same period of the last year).
