KAMAZ’s Revenue Grew by 34% in First Half
OREANDA-NEWS. KAMAZ has published financial results for the six months of 2016 by IAS. According to the information of portal "Vesti of KAMAZ", the consolidated revenue of the Group for six months of 2016 increased compared to the same period of last year by 34% and it was 47.222 billion rubles (for 6 months of 2015 it was 35.145 billion rubles).
In the Russian and foreign markets there were sold 13,273 vehicles (it was sold 9806 units for the same period of the last year). The share of PJSC "KAMAZ" in the Russian market of trucks with GVW over 14 tonnes was 60%, which is 11 percentage points more than for six months of 2015.
As a result of the revenue growth it was obtained a positive operating cash flow in the amount of 2.613 billion rubles.
However, the rise in prices for the metal, the purchased components and the ruble kept the negative impact on production costs in the first half of 2016. As a result, during the reporting period, the Group recognized a net loss of 1,930 million Rubles.
The company tried to compensate negative factors by reducing fixed costs, optimization of the model range, the Privacy Policy, the strategy of import substitution and localization of production of automotive components.
"KAMAZ" continues to invest in re-engineering of production and product development”, - said General Director of PJSC "KAMAZ", Sergey Kogoghin. – “Capital investments in modern technologies and equipment for the first six months of 2016 were 6.6% of revenue".
