OREANDA-NEWS. At the end of August in Paris in presence of 1500 special guests Scania has organized a solemn presentation of its new truck range. Introduced model range – is the result of ten years of technological development and investment of about 20 billion Swedish kronor.

One of the most notable improvements that were achieved during this time by Scania is the reducing of diesel fuel consumption by 5%, thanks to the improved transmission and better aerodynamics.

As the press-service of the company, the production of new trucks will start directly at the Scania plant in Sodertalje (Sweden). First of all attention will be focused on the manufacturer's vehicles and services for the long haul, and only then it will be introduced additional options. But it will be only after all Scania plants adapt to new technology.

"This is undoubtedly the biggest investment in the whole 125-year history of Scania”, - said at the presentation Henrik Henriksson, President and CEO of Scania. – “With the new generation of trucks Scania is expanding its offer and thanks to its unique modular system it can offer more operation steps, interoperability and a comprehensive palette of services that are improving the performance, as well as sustainable solutions for transportation, which are precisely customized for each client individually ....
