OREANDA-NEWS. Mazda Motor Corporation has announced the following organizational and personnel changes, effective September 1, 2016.

Changes in the area of ASEAN business

Aims

  • Integrate functions related to business in the ASEAN region, which is an important market for Mazda, and control them centrally in order to improve efficiency and ensure quick decision-making to strengthen the company's ability to respond to rapid changes in the business environment in the ASEAN region and deliver a consistent brand image throughout the region.

Details of organizational changes

  • Establish the ASEAN Business Office (with division status).
  • Transfer the functions of strategy planning and implementation for the ASEAN region from the Global Sales and Marketing Division, and all functions of the ASEAN Market Operation Department, to the ASEAN Business Office. In line with these changes, the ASEAN Market Operation Department is abolished.
  • Transfer functions related to ASEAN business from the Corporate Planning & Development Division's Business Promotion Department to the ASEAN Business Office. Transfer the other functions of the Business Promotion Department to the Corporate Planning & Development Division and Planning Promotion Department. In line with these changes, the Business Promotion Department is eliminated.
