OREANDA-NEWS. Orsky Machine Building Plant, part of TMK Oilfield Services, has been qualified by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), one of the Middle East oil majors, as an approved supplier of ТМК UP FJ and ТМК UP SF premium threaded connections.

As part of the qualification audit, KOC representatives visited casing pipe production facilities and got an overview of threading operations on seamless OCTG products across the entire processing chain – from the receiving inspection through to the packaging of finished goods. Members of the audit team were provided with detailed information about the specifics of using TMK UP premium threaded connections.

ТМК UP FJ and ТМК UP SF threaded connections are integral joint connections for casing and tubing applications. They provide joint gas sealability under combined loads and featuring exceptional high tension and compression efficiency in their class. They are designed for applications in challenging hydrocarbon fields.

TMK has a long history of cooperation with KOC. The Kuwaiti company has earlier received shipments of OCTG products from TAGMET and Volzhsky Pipe Plant. The qualification puts Orsky Machine Building Plant on the list of approved suppliers of premium threaded connections and enables the company to participate in KOC tenders for the supply of these products to oil and gas projects in Kuwait.
