OREANDA-NEWS. The head of JSC "NC" Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" Askar Mamin acquainted with the construction of new international airport terminal in Astana  and the new railway station of the capital.

Currently in new airport terminal already raised a frame, the works of roof arrangement, the facade, the interior decoration of the building, installation of utilities are on. Is building a new platform for aircraft parking.

During the working meeting on the airport construction court, which was attended by employees of JSC "International Airport Astana" and the general contractor organization, it was noted that the work is done on time, in accordance with the schedule.

The total area of the new airport’s passenger terminal will be 47 thousand sq.m.

The new terminal will be equipped with the latest technology, which will improve service and aviation security.

Today the airport of Astana daily services, on the average, up to 3 million passengers per year. After the new terminal commissioning its capacity will increase up to 7.6 million passengers per year.

Construction of the new airport is going to be finished at the end of first quarter of 2017.

At full speed is going on construction work on another aspect - the development of the railway station in Astana, including the construction of the railway station, where A. Mamin also held a working meeting.
