Volume of new cars in Russia the leaders are Moscow, Moscow region and St. Petersburg

OREANDA-NEWS. By the market volume of new cars in Russia for the first seven months of 2016 the leaders are Moscow, Moscow region and St. Petersburg - the combined share of the three metropolitan regions is 31.6%. Such conclusion was made by experts of "AUTOSTAT" agency, by analyzing the available data by regional markets.

During the reporting period, the Moscow market showed a slight decline (-4.2% up to 114.3 thousand units), and the Moscow region dropped slightly more (-5.2% to 52.9 thousand units). The third place of the rating belongs to St. Petersburg – sales of the northern capital grew by 5.8% and they were 46.7 thousand passenger cars.

Among the non-capital of of the Russian Federation the leader is Tatarstan (30 thousand units; -10.4%), which occupied the fourth place in the overall standings. The five leaders included also Krasnodar region (25 thousand units; -0.2%). The sixth position is occupied by Samara region (24.1 thousand units; -7.1%). It is followed by: Bashkortostan (22.8 thousand units; + 1.5%.), Rostov (18.1 thousand units; -3%.), Sverdlovsk (17.6 thousand units; -12.8%. ).
