OREANDA-NEWS. Russian dealers of KIA sold in July 11841 cars, which is less by 11.3% than a year ago. In the first seven months of 2016 sales were 81,607 KIA cars (-8.9%). According to preliminary estimates, the market share of KIA in Russia in January-July was 10.4%, informed the press service of KIA Motors Rus.

As the Managing Director of KIA Motors Rus, Alexander Moinov, said, despite the seasonal decline in demand, July was successful for KIA in Russia. In addition to traditional bestsellers Rio and cee'd, the new generations of Sportage, Optima and the Soul crossover continue to enjoy success among customers. For a number of niche models KIA noted the growth of sales against the background of the last year.

KIA best seller in the Russian market remains a model Rio: in July customers bought 7633 vehicles of this model (-16.6%). In the second place in terms of sales there is the crossover KIA Sportage of new generation with an indicator of 1367 sold cars.
